clear seeing

a new grid series, as I continue to read about liminal spaces, my meditation practice, my interest in nature centered practices, and higher than normal consciousness states these are the ideas I am working with. I see them as a colour data collecting from lived experiences. I have whole essays I could write on this subject, but the colors are also a kind of data collection in my life, the two threads are really important to this series of works- transcendence and color as emotions. The way the colors transition I am trying to create a spaciousness. I often am reflecting that I have no power to control society but I can create these experiences inside the paintings, time feels both really important (because of the human condition) and also meaningless. I also really like how watercolor bleeds in some moments or the grid breaks just a touch the way nature does that in life.
